A pope is a pope....

Why does the catholic church need a pope? What they do need is another Reformation if you ask me...
Spent the last 5 years waiting for the old guy to die and then they get another old dude not far off his death bed as well??? 3 steps backwards for the catholic church really by electing this guy. Why not elect a pope who is going to be in touch with the world, 30 years younger, that can make the changes needed to bring the church into the 21st century. They will just see more and more drifting away from the church, or joining a more contemporary church.

The reason that the Catholic Church elects a leader is simply because then we have someone to look up too. And the reason why they might be old and grey is because they are the ones have the experience to hold a postition like that. They make all the big desisions that holds up the Cathoilic Church together so thats why we need a pope. by the way think of it like this.. Why do we need a prime-mister or presidant. i think i have made my poinmt clear enough..
